Akwa Ibom State University,AKSU Authority Appoints New DVC

The Governing Council of Akwa Ibom State
University (AKSU) has recently approved the
appointment of Professor Esio Okitefre
Oboho as the new Deputy Vice Chancellor
(Academics) of the institution.

AKSU
Until his appointment, Prof. Oboho was the
Dean, Faculty Of Engineering in the
University.

He replaces the New Vice Chancellor,
Professor Enobong Ibanga who was formerly the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics of the institution.

Prof. Oboho obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D.
degrees in 1976 and 1979 respectively from
Moscow Institute of Petrochemical and Gas
Industry, Moscow, USSR.

He was a lecturer at the Rivers State
University of Science and Technology, Port
Harcourt, from 1979 to 2006, where he rose
to the position of Associate Professor in
2002.

Esio Oboho transferred his service to Akwa
Ibom State University in November 2006 as
a Professor of Chemical Engineering.
