A total of 3,690 new students offered admission into the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti for the 2015/2016 academic session have taken the matriculation oath. They were those who scaled the computer-based Post-UTME screening.

Rector of the Institution, Dr Taiwo Akande, who administered the oath, warned the students against cultism,  fraud and other anti-social activities.

Akande clarified that the era of just rusticating students found  engaging in such acts of illegality and other  related cases was over, saying any student caught in the acts would be prosecuted and send to jail  .

She stressed that the institution would no longer condone any act of illegality, including cybercrime, cultism and illegal sale of bed spaces by students.

She urged the new students against embarking on actions that could alter the academic calendar, she reminded them that doing so may prolong their stay in the institution and affect their lives collectively.

Akande said: “management has put in place a vigilant security network to closely monitor students and sniff out the bad eggs. Such unscrupulous elements will not be allowed to dent or tarnish the hard earned image of this institution. Anybody caught will be made to face the full weight of the law”.
