Here’s our top exam answering tips to help you see how to answer the Jamb exam questions:

1. Practice Jamb Past Questions:

There are actually no better approach to get Jamb exam prepared than by attempting past questions. Most exam boards or websites should have past questions available online, but your class instructor will get you started with the Jamb brochure if you’re attending any after school lessons.
This practice isn’t just about preparing an answer for a specific question, it’s about understanding how you approach a Jamb question on an exam, how to select your answer, the timings you have to assign and what correct questions answered will get marks.

2. Read All Questions Carefully:

The stress of the exam situation can make you misread a question, think about your answer before you pick one, start writing your choices of answer down. You can find out you made a mistake and wasted vital time. Even though you generally won’t be writing answers to every Jamb question on the paper, reading all questions thoroughly will ensure you make the right choices and can highlight how much you know about the course.

Don’t forget to attempt all questions that you have selected. On the other hand, be aware of the tricky questions with similar answers. In case you’re not convinced of the answer that could cost you some point off in your Jamb score.

3. Time Management (Manage Your Time):

This is the place you should be strict on yourself. When you have been assigned a time limit for every question, you must proceed forward once you hit it or you won’t have the time to give the next Jamb question the full attention.

Allow yourself some time at the end to go over your answers and able to re-visit the previous answers you have selected or think about the information you have in mind. You never know, this could help you clear up the wrong response you have selected!

4. Structure Your Answer

Don’t simply jump into picking your answers during the Jamb exam. Take the first couple of minutes to plan for the structure of your questions which will save you time when you are diving into harder parts. Continuously, keep focused; in case you’re answering the Jamb question that requires you to think twice before making your selection.

An example will be MATHS and physics, don’t waste your time on the questions you don’t know. Start outlining different means you can provide positive response to the rest of the questions – move over to the next question.

Most Jamb questions will have a clear understanding of the outcomes provided to choose from, usually 4-5 selections and of
course one response is the true answer. Many students see an assumption as the last stretch to complete the piece off, but
this is not always the case, structuring your answer give you the chances to shine by bringing everything together producing
great Jamb result.

5. Explore Both Sides of an Argument:

Building your argument in the main body of your exam questions will give you opinion credibility. English Jamb questions, for instance, need you to explore both sides of an argument and after that choose the best possible answer to the question. Many questions you approach will look as if they look for a clear answer, however, in reality they need you to fully understand the question before you pick your response.

Try not to fall into the trap of providing a one-sided view, get your hands dirty and open your mind to other possible outcomes.

6. Review Your Answers Thoroughly:

Smart students can make mistakes of submitting their answer book in without checking through what they have answered. Proofread your answers as much as you can avoid any mistakes and erase any answer you believe could be wrong. You will be surprised what you can find out in those few last minutes. This is your last opportunity to change that answer you remembered, list other significant points or even draw a conclusion in some of the Jamb questions.

Remember, it is not the time to re-visit all the questions, prove to Jamb officials what you’re made of so that you’ll not be among those visiting Jamb website in anxiety. Keep in mind, the Jamb exams are not intended to deceive you. Try not to freeze
on the day of your exam or this could cause your brain to stop functioning, and could indicate that you will have a lower Jamb result you do not value. Encourage yourself that you know how to answer Jamb exam

One thing that you have to note is that when the system goes off because your time has elapsed, it automatically submit, your answer is not meaningless, it will mark the ones you get correctly, that’s you should always work with time so you can crosscheck and still have time left.
