Lagos State University, LASU Suspended 11 Students Over Death Of Colleague
According to news reaching ngschoolz.com, The authorities of the Lagos State University, LASU, have suspended eleven former executive members of the Students Society of History and International Studies, over their role in the organisation of the ill-fated award night party on February 11, which led to the death of a 200 level female student, Omolara Gbadeyan.
This was contained in the official bulletin of the institution released on Wednesday.
It noted that the organisers sought no approval for it, which was contrary to the rules and regulations of the institution.
According to an earlier bulletin, the university authority management only received the shocking news after the sad event had occurred.
It said the management immediately swung into action by directing the health service department and the Security unit, Students Affairs Division to carry out detailed investigation on the reported incident.
