Nigerian Institute of Journalism, NIJ convocation ceremony programmes of events for the Conferment of Diplomas and Certificates as well as Conferment of Fellowship Awards and Presentation of Prizes.

NIJ Convocation Ceremony

The Chairman, Governing Council, Mallam Ismaila Isa OFR.mni, on behalf of the Council and the Academic Board of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), Lagos cordially invites the General Public to the 5th Convocation of the institution.

The event featuring Conferment of Diplomas and Certificates as well as Conferment of Fellowship Awards and Presentation of Prizes as been scheduled to hold as follows:


Lecture Topic: Nigeria: Value Re-orientation and the Media
Venue: The Institution’s Auditorium
Time: 11.00a.m

Guest Speaker – Engr. Vincent Maduka

CONVOCATION: Conferment of Diplomas, Certificates and Fellowship Awards.

Time: 11.00a. m
Venue: The Institution’s Sports Ground

Chairman: Alhaji Kabiru Abdullahi Yusuf
Chairman, Media Trust Ltd

1) All graduands are expected to be seated by 10:30 a. m for both programmes [lecture and convocation]

2) Certificates will be issued to graduands after convocation on April 20, 2018.

3) Academic gowns will be available for collection from Thursday April 12, 2018- Wednesday April 18, 2018.

NB: It is mandatory for every student to attend the ceremony.
