Northwest University Kano Appoints New VC – See Photo

It was recently disclosed that The Governing Council of the Northwest University (NWU), Kano has approved the appointment of Professor Mustapha Ahmad Isa as the Vice-Chancellor of the institution.

Prof. Mustapha Isa was the Director Academic Planning at Bayero University, Kano (BUK).

Mustapha Isa, who obtained a PhD in
Linguistics from Indiana University,
Bloomington, U.S.A, is a Professor of English
Language.

He was born in May 1965, at Yola Quarters
in Kano city. He obtained a Primary School
Certificate from Shahuci Primary School in
1977, and a Grade II Teachers’ Certificate,
from the School for Arabic Studies (SAS) in
1982. He had a B.A. Hausa (Language)
degree from Bayero University, Kano in
1987.

His appointment took effect from Monday,
4th May, 2015 and will last for a period of
five years.
