SAD: 300 Level DELSU Female Student Succumbs To Stroke

A 300-level female student of the
Department of Language and Linguistics,
Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka,
Edeki Lucky, is said to have allegedly died of
partial stroke at the weekend at the Delta
State University Teaching Hospital, Oghara.

Her roommate who identified herself as
Vera, said she slumped in her room at
Ethiope Hall in Site Two of the university in
the evening of Saturday, and was rushed to
the university’s Health Centre that evening
from where she was taken to Eku Hospital
and thereafter to Oghara.

She said that at the time she visited Lucky
on Wednesday, she was in a state of coma,
and that after treatment, her condition
worsened, following which she was referred
to the Delta State University Teaching
Hospital (DELSUTH), Oghara, for further
medical examination, where she was
diagnosed of partial stroke. Since then she
had been receiving treatment until weekend
when she gave up the ghost.

It was gathered that until her death, she
was always complaining of severe
headache, until that fateful day when she
slumped in her room in the hostel. Those
who knew her said she was a very jovial and
