SSANU Seeks Removal Of NUC Executive Secretary From Office

Following the conclusion of the recent meeting,it was disclosed that The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) has called for the removal of the National Universities Commission (NUC) Executive Secretary, Prof. Julius Okojie, from office.

According to the union, the NUC scribe
should be sacked for his alleged role in the
removal of staff of University Staff Primary
Schools from the payroll of universities in
the country.

Speaking with newsmen in Sokoto on
Monday, the SSANU National President,
Comrade Samson Ugwoke, pleaded with
President Buhari to remove the NUC
Executive Secretary for attempting to
breach the peace in the Nigerian university
system.

He wondered why the NUC boss would
allow himself to be used by some staff of
the Federal Ministry of Education with the
purpose of throwing thousands of Nigerians
who earn their legitimate livelihood
through teaching and working in university
staff schools into the unemployment
market.

The union leader described the actions of
Okojie and his cohorts in the Federal
Ministry of Education as a conspiracy
against members of SSANU who teach in
university staff primary and secondary
schools.
