UI DLC Notice On School Fees Payment Deadline, Course Registration, I.D Card

It should be reiterated that the Management of the University of Ibadan Distance Learning Centre (UIDLC) is unrepentantly committed to eschewing unnecessary elongation of the Academic Calendar. Howbeit, it is not oblivious of the fact that there are still issues of outstanding 2016/2017 results. As the deadline for closure of the portal verges, this reality has been duly considered. It was in the light of this development that the UIDLC Core Management met and came up with the following resolutions:

UI DLC Notice On School Fees Payment Deadline, Course Registration, I.D Card Processing

1. Tuition Deadline
The deadline for payment of tuition has been extended for another three weeks. This grace period lapses on Monday, July 3, 2018 and it would be final. The major reason for this shift is the issue of outstanding results, especially from the Department of Economics. Be assured that these results would be released before the new deadline.

2. Project Writing
The decision of the UIDLC Board of Examiners that all 2016/2017 project scores must be submitted on or before Friday, June 8, 2018 still stands. Learners who fail to meet up with the deadline have a window of opportunity to pay their tuition and register for the 2017/2018 session before the expiration of the new deadline.

Note that the project writing deadline does not apply to Economics final year learners. However, learners in this category are advised to expedite necessary action to complete their project writing as this window of opportunity is not elastic.

3. Identity Cards
Be informed that the Centre cannot venture into the production of 2017/2018 identity cards until the registration portal is closed for the session. This would allow for an all-inclusive data capture of registered learners. However, fresh learner (o’level/direct entry) who have registered as at June 8, 2018 would be captured for the first batch of production. Other learners would be captured after the portal is eventually closed on Monday, July 2, 2018.

4. Add and Delete
This can be done ONLY during the period of registration. Once course registration is finally locked, learners would not be able to ADD and DELETE courses again. A period would be dedicated for add and delete during the second semester. This would be duly communicated. Note that ADD and DELETE would not be entertained ESPECIALLY once examinations have commenced.

The Centre is working out modalities to ensure that the calendar takes its full course. Please be assured of DLC’s commitment to see that you have a smooth and hitch free session. Further directives as regards deployment of Continuous Assessment tests would be issued in due course

May God grant you success all the way. Amen

Thank you.
