According to news reaching us, A total number of 3,900 new students took their matriculation oath during the 2015/2016 Academic Session Matriculation ceremony of University of Abuja (UNIABUJA).

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Micheal Adikwu charged the new students to resist any temptation of involving in cultism, examinations malpractices, truancy and extremism of any kind on campus.

He explained that the university is a place for serious academic pursuit and an embodiment of the highest moral standards, therefore the students are expected to combine the pursuit of learning with strict moral rectitude.

Prof. Adikwu pointed out that failure in any of the expectations of a sound academic and moral character, will render their stay in the university useless to both themselves and the nation at large.

The VC added that the University of Abuja is faced with a number of challenges, which include inadequate or non-availability of some basic facilities, acute shortage of hostel accommodation, lecture halls and laboratory spaces, transportation among others.
