2017 Workers’ Day: FG Declares Monday May 1 As Public Holiday

The Federal Government has declared Monday, 1st May, 2017 as public holiday to mark the 2017 Workers’ Day Celebration.

In a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido, on Friday, the minister, Abdulrahman Dambazzau, congratulated Nigerian workers for their resilience, hard work and commitment to the present administration despite current challenges.

He urged them to continue to support President Muhammadu Buhari.

Dambazau further urged Nigerian workers to re-dedicate themselves to the service of the nation and remain productive for the growth and development of the country.

The minister also wished all Nigerian workers a joyful and peaceful celebration on behalf of the President.
