BUK: 13 Medical Radiography Graduands Were Offered Automatic Employment
All 13 Medical Radiography graduands of
Bayero University, Kano (BUK) were offered
automatic employment at the Aminu Kano
Teaching Hospital (AKTH) during the
Induction Ceremony of the department
held last week.
Following the speech at the 2nd Medical Radiography and 18th B. Physiotherapy Induction Ceremony at the C.I.T. Theatre, the Chief Medical Director of AKTH, Prof. Aminu
Zakari, said that they would be the first young graduands in the whole northern
Nigeria to operate the 164 Slice CT Scan
machine, the digital x-ray machine and
Mammography and fluoroscopy machines.
He said AKTH was the first teaching hospital
in the north to install these modern
machines.
Similarly the Vice Chancellor of BUK, Prof.
Abubakar Rasheed, who was represented at
the ceremony by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics, Prof. Sagir Adamu Abbas, offered automatic employment to Wasila Habib of Physiotherapy for her exceptional performance.
Wasila Habib was the best in Pre-Clinical,
best in Clinical and emerged as the overall
best graduating student.
She was the first candidate to get an
unprecedented point since the creation of
the department 18 years ago.
