The Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) management has released the guidelines for overstay undergraduate and postgraduate students to participate in the mop-up examinations.

ESUT Mop-Up Exams Guidelines

(i). Undergraduate students (Regular, MSP, and Sandwich) shall pay one current year’s school fees for the renewal of studentship, and a Fifty Thousand Naira (N50,000.00) examination processing fee.

(ii). Postgraduate students (Full-Time, Part-Time, Sandwich) shall pay one-year school fees each for renewal of their studentship, and One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000.00) as examination processing fee.

(iii). Those that would benefit from the exercise should be confirmed ESUT students who have ESUT Matriculation numbers and JAMB registration numbers (where applicable).

(iv). The candidate should not be indebted to the University and should have paid their school fees up to their final years of study. Evidence of such payments should be presented to, and confirmed by the Bursar.

(v). The candidates should also pay school fees for the maximum number of years allowed for their respective programmes.

(vi). Registration on complete payment of all approved fees should be completed within one month from this announcement date. Thereafter, a late penalty fee of ten thousand (N10,000.00) shall be applied until the examinations’ commencement.

(vii). The MOP – UP examinations should be carried out in one semester for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

(viii). A central time-table shall be used covering a period of one-month revision exercise and two (2) weeks examinations period.

(ix). Marking, grading, computation and submission of computed results by departments shall be within two (2) weeks from the end of the examinations. The minimum pass mark shall correspond to the benchmark operational then, i.e. as at the time.

(x). Departments are to activate courses that were offered then which had been phased out.
