PTI Effurun Admission Form Now On Sale [ND & HND] – 2017/2018

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun 2017/2018 academic session National Diploma and Higher National Diploma programmes admission exercise.

The following programmes are available at Higher National Diploma (HND)  and National Diploma (ND) levels.

  1. Petroleum Engineering Technology (HND and ND)
  2. Welding and Fabrication Engineering Technology (HND and ND)
  3. Industrial Safety and Environmental Technology (HND and ND)
  4. {HND options: (1) Industrial Safety Technology.(2) Environmental Technology}
  5. Petroleum and Gas Processing Engineering Technology (HND and ND)
  6. Mechanical Engineering Technology (HND and ND)
    {HND options: (1) Manufacturing, (2) Power Plant}
  7. Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology (HND and ND)
    {HND options: (1) Instrumentation and Control (2) Electronics and Telecommunications  (3) Power and Machines}
  8. Science Laboratory Technology (HND and ND)
  9. Mineral and Petroleum Resources Engineering Technology (ND only)
  10. Petroleum Marketing and Business Studies (HND and ND)
  11. Computer Science and Information Technology (ND only)

PTI ADMISSION – ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

ND candidates are to possess five (5) Ordinary Level Credit passes relevant to the choice of programme which must include English Language and Mathematics, while HND candidates must possess in addition to the above requirement, National Diploma (ND) relevant to their choice of programmes. HOW TO APPLY FOR PTI ADMISSION FORM.

Candidates applying for HND, General Welding and Commercial Diving programmes are required to pay a non-refundable fee of seven thousand, five hundred naira (N7,500.00) for each PTI admission form for 2017/2018 Academic Session, while candidates applying for ND programmes are to pay the amount stipulated by JAMB.

Candidates applying for National Diploma (ND) programmes should visit  Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal: jamb.org.ng. All candidates should ensure that the procedure outlined by JAMB for processing the ND admission forms are duly followed. Candidates should also visit JAMB brochure to know the required subjects they are to write during the examination as the subjects for the examination are not the same for all the programmes.

Candidates offering HND, General Welding and Commercial Diving programmes should apply directly to Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) by following the steps below:

  1. Visit www.pti.edu.ng
  2. Click on Apply for Admission
  3. Fill in the online Sign on page by Click on “Click Here to Sign Up” at the bottom of the page. (Note: Write down the Username and Password for subsequent/return use).
  4. This will take you to the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) page where you generate the RRR code.
  5. Print the RRR code page and take it to any bank for payment. Make sure you keep the RRR code print out.
  6. After the payment of N7, 500.00 which is the cost of each admission form,  return to the PTI website (www.pti.edu.ng) and click on Return to my Application”. 
  7. Enter your UserName and Password and click LOGIN
  8. Fill in the online application form and print out the completed online application form which will be presented at the examination centre along with your RRR code print out.

IF AFTER PAYMENT, THE PORTAL STILL REJECTS YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD, THEN MAIL itsupport@pti.edu.ng with the RRR code or call 08126971129

DATE OF ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR GENERAL WELDING  CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME

The entrance examination for General Welding Certificate programme will hold on Saturday, June 24th, 2017, at Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun, Delta State. Candidates are advised to report at Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun, Delta State a day before the entrance examination to know their examination venues.

DATE FOR HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) INTERVIEW

The interview for HND candidates will hold from 5th  9th June, 2017, at the Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun, Delta State. The transcripts of candidates offering HND programmes should reach admission office from the institutions they graduated from on or before 2nd June, 2017. The transcript should be sent through courier service. While coming for the interview, candidates must come along with their evidence or receipt of transcript fee payment.

COMMERCIAL DIVING CERTIFICATE INTERVIEW

Commercial Diving Certificate interview will hold from 14th  18th August, 2017, at the Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun, Delta State.    

CLOSING DATE: Online application for HND, General Welding and Commercial Diving programmes closes on 18th  May,  2017.

LATE APPLICATION Late on-line sales of HND, General Welding and Commercial Diving admission forms commences on 19th May, 2017 and ends on 2nd June, 2017 at the cost of eight thousand five hundred naira (N8, 500.00).
