Important information about UI DLC and their course materials. The Distance Learning Centre’s programme of studies is the same as that offered for full-time students of the University of Ibadan. The only difference is that it is designed primarily to suit those in the working class, whose schedules, distance, financial condition and other situations may not permit them to undergo full-time studies at the university.

These students read their study-packs at their convenience, communicate with their lecturers from time to time, and only come into residence six weeks in a year for revision and examination

Any bank of your choice

 

I have been admitted, what next?

Go to http://dlc.ui.edu.ng or http://newportal.dlc.ui.edu.ng
– Click on Returning Applicants
– Enter your User name and Password
– Print notification of Admission
– Pay acceptance fee
– Print admission letter
– Pay school fees in full as shown on Admission Letter.
– Login to your portal and click on register for registration of courses
– Proceed to course materials to download your study materials.
– Start reading your course materials

 

How do I change my Portal Password?

Go to http://dlc.ui.edu.ng or http://newportal.dlc.ui.edu.ng Enter your Username and Password then select �My Profile� and Click on �Change Password.

 

How do I suspend my studies?

Go to your Portal, click on Make Payment, select Suspension and click on continue, Generate Payment Reference to pay at any banks or make payment with Debit Card. After Payment go back to the portal click on suspend study and select the session to suspend.

 

How do I go about Re-activation of studies?

Go to your Portal, click on Make Payment, select Reactivation and click on continue, Generate Reference to pay at any banks or make payment with Debit Card. After Payment go back to the portal click on reactivate study, select the session to reactivate.

 

Do I have to wait to receive message to know that my payment has been approved?

Go to http://newportal.dlc.ui.edu.ng to confirm your payment status

 

What should I do if my payment is not reflecting on the portal?

After successful payment, if your payment is not reflecting, you are advised to login to http://newportal.dlc.ui.edu.ng enter your username and password click on �Requery Payment�� and click on RRR code you paid with or Transaction reference

 

How do I change my preferred Centre on the portal?

Go to http://dlc.ui.edu.ng or http://newportal.dlc.ui.edu.ng Enter your Username and Password then select �My Profile� and Click on Change Exam Center and select your choose of location for Examination and Interactive.

 

How do I register my courses after payment?

Go to http://dlc.ui.edu.ng or http://newportal.dlc.ui.edu.ng
Enter your Username and Password then select �Register� and follow the registration procedure and select the appropriate courses as specified in the Registration Procedure.

 

How do I access my students dedicated email?

Go to www.mail.dlc.ui.edu.ng enter your student dedicated mail. (e.g e0123456.akanmu and your password) OR Go to www.gmail.com enter your student dedicated mail (e.g e0123456.akanmu@dlc.ui.edu.ng and your password)

 

What is the procedure for obtaining general clearance for notification of result and certificate for Diploma and/or Degree?

A Passport Photograph. School I.D. Card. Admission Letter. All original school fees receipts (100-500Level). A copy of entry form into Examination (Exams & Course Form) 500level only Original and photocopies of WAEC/NECO certificate(s) Statement of result for NCE, Diploma, OND & RN will not be accepted, where the original certificate is not available produce a recent or new Attestation letter for your NCE/OND Certificate. WAEC/NECO Result(s) a. Administrative Charge N500.00 payable to DLC through Remita and, convert to b. Graduation Levy N2500.00 payable through Remita and obtain receipt at Cash Office U.I). c. Alumni Fee N 1,000.00 Payable at First Bank U.I, thereafter converts the teller to receipt at Alumni Office U.I. DLC Computer Certificate Thereafter go to Records Unit of Distance Learning Centre, University of Ibadan for Clearance.

 

Information on Change of Passport on student’s portal

Write a letter to the Deputy Registrar, Distance Learning Centre, University of Ibadan requesting for change of passport photograph and attach your Passport photograph and any of the following: Nigeria Passport or National Identity Card or Driver’s License.

 

Can I access my Email via smart phone?

Yes, you are to download Gmail on your phone to set-up your email.

 

How do I access E-Library?

Click on the E-library icon on the DLC website or alternatively use this link http://dlc.ui.edu.ng/?p=/elibrary/

 

How can I access Google classroom?

You are to login to https://classroom.google.com and enter your Gmail login details.

 

Can we have access to Main University Library as Open and Distance learning student?

Yes, but you have to register at the Main University Library before you can access the Library. You are to present the following documents for registration: Payment receipt, Authorization letter, Passport photograph and Identity Card

 

Can I have access to University Health Centre?

Yes, but you have to register at the University Health Centre.
