The Senate of University of Lagos has approved the modalities for 2017/2018 admission into the institution and it is stated as below:

Table of Contents

How to calculate UNILAG Post-UTME and UTME aggregate Mark

O’Level ==> 20%

UTME ==> 50%

Post UTME ==> 30%

Calculate It Thus: For O’level

A1 = 4 points

B2 = 3.6 points

B3 = 3.2 points

C4 = 2.8 points

C5 = 2.4 points

C6 = 2.0 points

Calculate your 5 Core subjects only

For UTME/JAMB Score:

Divide your JAMB/UTME Score By 8

For Post UTME Score:

Divide your post UTME Score by 2

NB: The Candidate must not score below 40% in Post UTME to stand a chance. That means the candidate must get at least 20 Questions Correctly.

Score Weights will be allotted to Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board score and Senior School Certificate Examination grades in relevant subjects, that is, 50% for JAMB score20% for O’level and Post UTME 30% results to make a total of 100%.

Recommended: UNILAG Post UTME Result is Out – 2017/18 [See How To Check]

Relevant subjects are the subjects prescribed for a course and advertised by JAMB. The credit passes obtained in those O’level subjects are the credits to be weighted. Where less than five (5) relevant subjects are prescribed for a course, the credit passes in the prescribed subjects will be weighted as well as the next best results.

CRITICAL NOTES

  • The aggregate score will be used to determine the cut-off point for admission into each of the programmes.
  • Cut-off points for each course will be determined by the performance of all the candidates who applied for the course.
  • Admission will be undertaken in line with JAMB and National Universities Commission guidelines.
