How To Collect Original West African Examination Council, WAEC GCE Certificate.
Recently, The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that certificates of the General Certificate Examination (GCE) have been printed and is now available for collection by candidates.
The West African Examination Council, WAEC has released the online and offline process and guidelines involved in the collection of candidates Original Certificates for School candidates and Private Candidates Nationwide.
The West African Examination Council, WAEC are the body involved in conducting the Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in African Countries.

How long does it take for original Waec result to be out?
90 Days
At the end of the above examinations the body issues certificates to candidates, normally they are ready 90 Days after the release of the results. It takes 90 days for WAEC Certificates or Original Result to be made available after the release of results.
How can I retrieve my WAEC GCE examination number?
Go to a court and do a sworn affidavit for loss of examination number or photo-card. Take the affidavit and one passport photograph to any WAEC office. You will be charged 2,500 Naira for this service.
Does Waec GCE result expire?
WAEC results do not expire.
How can I check my GCE result without pin?
There is no possible means of checking WAEC result without PIN ooooo……. WAEC PIN is the secure code that can grant you access to the waec result database successfully.
How can I print GCE result?
To print, simply press the keys Crl with P and the printing block will come up. Check the settings and print. If you are checking via business center, its best to call for assistance for the printing.
Can I get my original Waec result online?

How To Collect Original WAEC GCE Certificate

How to get GCE Certificate(All You Need To Know)
Unlike WAEC Private which make provision for your WAEC certificate to be sent to the school where you registered for the examination. Those who sat for WAEC external (GCE), will have to go the WAEC office/centre close to them to get GCE certificate. You can only get your GCE certificates from WAEC Zonal and Branch offices in charge of the state where they sat for the examination.
Mind you, there is a fix day for collecting GCE Certificate depending on the year you wrote the GCE examination. This date can be seen on the noticed board. The required document which you must present before you can get your GCE Certificate is also on the noticed board.
For example, if you wrote the GCE exam in 2007, and 2007 set falls on Tuesday, you will have to go on that day. If you go on a different day, the officials will not attend to you. When you go for collection, at a specified hour, an official will come out and address you on the process. Depending on the population, you might spend the whole day there.
Fees you will pay to get your GCE certificate depending on the year you wrote the exam.
- 1-4 years: N3,500
- 5-9 years: N8,500
- 10-14 years: N13,500
- 15-19 years: N18,500
- 20 years and above: N23,500
The breakdown above means; if you wrote your GCE 15years ago, you will have to pay 18,500 before you can get your GCE certificate. Those within the range of 1 to 4 years will pay a token of 3,500 before they can get their GCE certificate.

- A passport photo that is recently taken (red background preferably)
- Your statement of result or print out done online
If I had lost my GCE certificate, can it be replaced? No. Instead, WAEC will issues statements of result to the owners of lost certificates or, when necessary, confirms their results for a fee.

I went to waec office to collect my 2004 GCE certificate, only to be told the certificate has not yet been printed because of passport error. I was told to write to apply for printing of certificate, which I did, just then I got the shock of my life. I was told the certificate will take 6-12months before it can be picked. I am so in dire need of this certificate. I want to know why it will take such long time. I am begging waec not to hold my destiny.

I don’t know what really happened i went to WAEC offices there at abekuta for my GCE CERTIFICATE 16 of jun 2019, I was told to check back on the 15,of july 2019 which i did becos am seriously in need of it, getting to the office i ask to fill form which i did, my expectation was like they will surely bring the certificate for me but it was in vain so one of there staff told me the certificate is yet to be printded out so am in a dark someone should pls bring me out with advice

I went to Cafe to print my waec gce out and I paid to them and there I paid the amount of 10000 naira to cut the story short they I should go to waec office to collect the print out on getting there they said I should wait till ending and I need the certificate urgently please oo is part of my file
